Naudeya Richards

Naudeya received her Masters of Social Work from the School of Social Work, at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2005 with a specialization in Health and Mental Health. Naudeya is a Connecticut State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade experience providing individual, family and group mental health services in outpatient and residential settings. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is a Connecticut State Certified Trauma Focus-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Therapist. DBT is a cognitive behavioral based treatment model that utilizes psychoeducation and psychosocial skills training to assist individuals in regulating their emotions. TF-CBT is a psychosocial treatment model designed to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma related symptoms. Naudeya believes that the therapy process is a collaborative one and utilizes a strength based approach to assist others in making meaningful changes in their daily lives and improve their overall well-being.
